What is Holistic Counselling?
How does it work?
Holistic Counselling is a self-focused approach, which is defined by working one on one with an individual and seeing them as a whole, and working together to build up their own inner strength and self-empowerment, treating not only the mind but also their body, and spirit and how these elements interconnect, while using the relationship between the body, environment, lifestyle and psychology as an integration of phenomenon’s and organisms leading to a fuller sense of wholeness and understanding of ones true soulful self and the environment in which one grows and belongs.
These factors include the environment in which one was born, raised and is currently located, the circumstances you have faced in the past and currently in the now, and who you choose to surround yourself with, whether at home, work or socially and the lifestyle you led.
Fundamentally Holistic Counselling is unlocking an inner greater acceptance and awareness of oneself as a whole and assists in helping people on their journey of growth, self-acceptance and discovery, directional purpose and grounding. During the process one will be provided with individualized tools and techniques to support and provide coping mechanisms to assist one in leading a fuller sense of wholeness, some may even say soul awakening, this process is all done by unlocking ones self-empowerment and by regaining control of ones mind, body and soul.
Holistic Counselling is a personalized individual approach to addressing the “whole” person, it is integrated with spiritual, physical, mental and emotional forms of well-being and awareness. Its goal is to help individuals develop a deeper understanding of themselves on all levels, of consciousness and sub consciousness. It is unlocking the mind and all that drives it, the ego, the stories, the talking (monkey brain) and the preprogramming, while providing assistance in the discovery of self-empowerment through connecting to their own inner wisdom and capacity to want to restore themselves on a journey of living and not just existing.
